FAS PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
On behalf of the Football Association of Singapore, I am pleased to welcome all participating teams and spectators alike to the fourth edition of the Singapore Cricket Club Soccer 6’s. Like the previous editions, this year’s SCC Soccer 6’s will be held at the historical Padang.
Last year, Chonburi FC of Thailand’s Premier League clinched the title in the Open Category after they overcame a well-disciplined TWS Pegasus of Hong Kong in an exciting final.
This year, fans will enjoy two days of pulsating action on the pitch as top Asian clubs from Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore will be pitted against each other for the coveted title. Apart from the Open category, there will be three other categories in this year’s edition, namely the Kids Event, Masters and Legends Tournament. With 40 teams participating in the four categories, I am sure it will be an exciting tournament with lots of thrilling football action which will deliver a quality experience for the fans.
I am also heartened to note that the Singapore Cricket Club has always been committed to giving back to the community through football, and I appreciate the organizer’s continued commitment towards the charitable aspect of the tournament. I would like to take this opportunity to extend a warm welcome to the various charitable institutions from our neighboring countries.
Finally, I would like to thank the Singapore Cricket Club for organizing this football event.
I also wish all participating teams the best of luck and I believe everyone will have an enjoyable time at the Padang.
